Australian Salmon Gum burls are found in certain Australian eucalyptus species, and are known for their beautiful swirling grain patterns. This particular bowl was turned several years ago and is quite stable (meaning simply it won’t be changing shape in the future). It’s a thick-walled bowl measuring 12.5” diameter by 4” tall. It’s quite heavy due to the density of the wood which makes it a perfect piece for a centerpiece on a coffee or dining room table. It’s subtle, yet stunning.
